　クソ強いモンスターに振り回されつつも助けられたり愛でたりする描写が毎度のように繰り広げられ、その手のシチュエーションが好みの御仁を心ゆくまで満足させてくれる。・主人公含め登場キャラの大半が善人であり、不快感を煽る描写が無い（肉を調達する過程で敵モンスターを躊躇なく狩ったり、死骸がやたらと出てくるところに抵抗感を示す人はいるかもしれない）・危機や困難のたぐいは簡単にいなすのでストーリーに起伏はないが、これは意図的であるようで、毎回出てくる料理の描写が丁寧なこともあって「孤独のグルメ（ドラマ版）」的な安心感を漂わせている。　ちなみに視聴後に調べたところ、原作ではさらに仲間が増えるがこれまたモンスターでモンスターが主役のスピンオフまで出ているらしい。タイトルや基本設定こそ露骨なまでの「なろう系異世界モノ」であるが、いざ見てみると妙に癖になる魅力が光る作品。・最重要ポイントとして、タイトルなどでは一切触れられていないが、裏テーマではないのかと思われるほどモンスターへの偏愛に溢れている。いいじゃないの。　主人公の主要な仲間となるのは人間ではなく二匹のモンスターなのだが、他作品にありがちな「設定
