This is a beautiful hand painted egg probably from Russia or Ukraine - typically called a Matryoshka egg or Pysanka Pysanky egg It's signed NN '98 , so vintage 1998 I DO NOT KNOW if it's made of egg shell or wood - It is very light weight - which makes me think its an actual egg shell rather than wood. She is painted in the same style as a traditional Russian doll. She is meticulously painted with great detail, in traditional costume with a beautiful round face with big eyes, long eyelashes and rosy cheeks. She is holding a cat.
